Sadly, I came to know these three brilliant female authors through senseless tragedy. Nonstop senseless tragedy. The fact that these women endured even more trauma as they wrote their books, just to help us “get it” makes me angry and… very thankful. Coming to grips with a world that is far more racist than my privilege allows me to see, these women helped me learn, unlearn, and start doing the work – the real work. Still doing it.

If you have not purchased at least three of the books pictured above, [yes, I know there are three books pictured above] then you have some much needed shopping to do today. Seriously, are we really supporting women with likes, or are we supporting women through action?
