My parents celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary earlier this month.
My mom swears that part of the secret sauce in their marriage is that my dad makes her laugh.
He swears she still has the butt of a nineteen-year-old!
They both agree that lust, laughter, learning, shared values and mutual respect has been and still is their foundation.
AND … that luck had a little bit to do with it too.
In a world of conflict & drama, your most important relationship dynamics should darn near be free of ‘em.
May their celebration of 60 years together serve as a reminder for us all to cherish the most people important people in our lives [whether a spouse, partner or friend] and to respecting each person’s individual Spirit.
