Soften into the New Year like this
Dec 18, 2024Hey there! AmyK here.
Let’s get realz.
The holidays and year-end bring a whirlwind of emotions, expectations, activities and way too much sugar.
BUT … they also bring a significant opportunity.
For many of us, the holidays can be stressful, and the stress increases when we let our unhealthy Ego take center stage—
whispering about what we really should do to “get it all in,” how we really must accept every invite, and what we really need to complete before the New Year in order to feel accomplished and successful.
Yeah … sigh, so not helpful.
What’s waaay more beneficial this holiday season is to let go of your Ego and drop into your heart where genuine connection, patience, kindness, and a good ole, “Not beating myself up about that” reside.
Moving from Ego to Heart this season can transform not only your personal life but also your professional world as you close out the year with clarity and grace.
Here’s what this shift can look like:
1) At Work
2) In Your Personal Life
By making the intentional shift from Ego to Heart, you'll experience:
1) Deeper, more meaningful connections:
Operating from the Heart deepens trust and fosters meaningful connections, whether with colleagues, friends, or family. It creates a safe space for others to be themselves while allowing you to feel more grounded in your authenticity.
2) Grounded Inner Peace:
Letting go of the Ego’s constant demands for perfection and control creates space for calm and contentment. Your Heart is free from the need to prove, compete, or control. Living from this space reduces stress, promotes clarity, and invites joy into even the busiest moments of the season.
It’s also just a “softer” way to be … with yourself, and with others.
A Question to Reflect On
As you step into the holidays these next few weeks, and look to the New Year, I invite you to have one last Magical Conversation in 2024 by asking yourself:
Where is my Ego calling the shots, and how might I invite my Heart to lead instead?
These next few weeks are a perfect time to pause, reflect, and consider how you show up—in your professional life, your personal relationships, and in the quiet moments with yourself.
By choosing to live and lead with love, you’ll not only create a more meaningful season for yourself but also inspire others to do the same.
Thank you for being such a light in my life and in the world this past year.
I look forward to igniting your brilliance in 2025! And the world needs YOUR brilliance. It truly does.
From my heart to yours -- Merry Christmas! Happy Hanukkah!
Love and hugs,
AmyK
